Information about Tri-Pres Camp

For more than forty years, Tri-Pres Junior Camp has provided a Christian camp experience for children entering fourth, fifth, and sixth grades from the Mid-Atlantic Region.  We also invite children entering seventh grade who have attended Tri-Pres to come back for an additional year.

Tri-Pres Junior Camp is a sleep-over camp which runs from Sunday Evening to Friday Afternoon. The camp is organized by a committee of Elders and members of churches affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

 Daily Activities

Campers participate in two sessions of praise music sing-a-long and Biblical teaching.  They will also be encouraged to participate in counselor lead cabin devotions and discussions.  Two planned recreational sessions will feature organized games played in supervised small or large groups.  For several hours a day, campers may choose from a number of supervised "free play" activities.  Finally, special activities such as the Counselor Hunt, Main Event and the closing Camp Fire are part of the tradition of Junior Camp.

The Staff

The Camper to Staff ratio at Junior Camp is approximately 5 to 1.  Staff includes a Camp Director, Assistant Director, Camp Nurse and a Senior and Junior Counselor for each cabin, Senior Counselors are to be of college age or older while Junior Counsleors are typically in their junior or senior year of high School.  All counselors must be highly recommended by their pastors before they are accepted for the job.  If you are interested, please contact the Camp Director Chip Wilford chipwilford@yahoo.com or Committee Chairman Bill Beans beansii@verizon.net to get the appropriate forms.
